Seems like Summer Glau will be on episode 16, airing sometime late February, most likely. Those unfamiliar with "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", "Dollhouse", "Firefly", "Alphas" or "The Cape" probably won't have a clue of who exactly we're talking about here, and I don't blame them, given the fact that all those were somewhat niche shows. Most of the articles online say Grey's is giving in to nerds and fanboys everywhere, as it seems that Summer is seen as the geek and fanboy queen these days.

Since we're talking about a show the size of Grey's here, and because Summer Glau will be on one episode only (she'll probably be just another patient or a relative), for the first time I'm not too afraid that the show will be canceled the first chance they get. Summer is always a pleasant appearance and she does seem to be a good and nice person in real life, so I am also happy about this in the end. Do you find this valuable?

So, I guess you go by the name of Buccaneer as well, huh? Nice to know.

Like Chrisdevanne says on those comments as well, I could be acting like a sheep repeating bad jokes I see on the Internet myself here. That's just what it is, really, even though I was teasing you a little bit as well. I realize that Summer doesn't necessarily result in cancellation, even though it's bound to happen a lot of times. It's the shows that she's on that are not strong enough to begin with, so they're bound to end sooner than later anyway. Summer is just not a big enough actress to be cast as star (or at least regular) in big enough shows or movies in order to really make a mark and succeed. Since she has been typecast way too many times already and she's not getting any younger, it's getting harder and harder these days. I must say I have thoroughly liked the work I've seen from her so far, though.

This being said, I hope to be absolved from the smack on the head.

1) Sometimes. But Buccaneer isn't as unique, so there's no guarantee that any random Buccaneer out there will actually be my comment.

2) TSCC was a big show. It couldn't get an audience big enough to succeed, but it was nevertheless a big show. It's frikkin' Terminator! Season 1 received the entire promotion budget that was meant for 24 (24 skipped that season due to the strike).
But to some degree I do agree with you, the chances of Summer really breaking out are quite small. Do you find this valuable?

I didn't know that about the big season 1 budget. I guess it makes sense to start with because indeed it was supposed to be friggin' Terminator after all. However, as you know, the show quickly failed most people's (however probably wrong) expectations and became small and niche in no time, all even more aggravated by the writer's strike by episode 9. And then all the way to withering out into a sad and cliffhanger cancellation.They didn't even make sure it got a proper ending...
Anyways, it's all water under the bridge these days, sadly... Do you find this valuable?

And not even a single spoken line from Summer, the hot nurse, regardless of all the multiple shots of her, it seems... *sigh*... You think she'll ever be back, namely on the next episode? I'd say probably, because this whole Owen cheating subplot is still far from over. I certainly hope so...

Having Christina stalk her around like she was moving in for the kill was too funny, though! Kind of a reversal of roles, right?
And Summer even did one of her classic geeky faces. Certainly many nerdgasms and screenshots right there, that's for sure! Do you find this valuable?

1) Yeah, it's very much possible she'll be back. But it's not necessary. The purpose was to plant a doubt about Owen in Christina. Summer or no Summer, the doubt will still be there.

2) Yeah, maybe. But also lots of blasting the show and the producers for not making Summer the center of the universe. You know there's quite some crazy people among Summer fans.

But she was the center of Christina's universe on this episode! What more can people possibly want?!
Seriously, though, all those people need some real big reality check. The more time passes, the more I realize Summer is never gonna be big and she'll only do some small roles here and there. It's absolutely normal. If people want to be avid fans, they should come to terms with that once and for all. Even though she had a big role on a show with a huge franchise name behind it, it still tanked royally. Oh, well... There are thousands of others like her in the end, right? Do you find this valuable?

And it seems that Summer checked out already, or at least I don't expect to see her ever again on the show, as her arch seems to have ended. As expected, her character wasn't sleeping with Owen, but Owen was sleeping with yet somebody else... I wonder who that could be...

In the end, it was yet another small gig for Summer here, with only one episode with actual spoken lines. Onto the next one, on some other show, some other time. Probably something else small as well. Do you find this valuable?

She did a pilot for TNT, Scent of the Missing. If that gets picked up, it'll be a main cast role.

Even if it gets picked up, one has to wonder what "main cast" will actually mean in a global context here. It will probably always be a very small show, right? I'm just guessing, but that's definitely been the trend with her. Do you find this valuable?

The show is about a K9 Search and Rescue Team. You know, they find missing people using dogs. Summer's character will be a member of the team. Her main co-star will be a german shepherd :)

The leader of the team will be played by Tricia Helfer:
