Did Mark Sloan do the right thing in letting his grandson be adopted?
May 6 2010, 12:19 PM EDT | Post edited: May 6 2010, 12:19 PM EDT
In Hook, Line and Sinner, Mark Sloan allowed his grandson to be adopted by another set of parents. Even if his daughter Sloan wasn't ready to be a mother, do you think he did the right thing? Do you find this valuable?

yes...in a way. on opne hand she clearly wasnt fit to be a mother but on the other hand i think it might have cured Mark's need for a family Do you find this valuable?

I think it was definitely the right thing to do.
Little Sloan was clearly not fit to be a mother and she can still have many more babies in her life when she grows up some more and preferably have another baby with a father this time.

As for grandpa Sloan, yes, he is trying to settle down now, but I think he can and he should have a baby of his own. We haven't seen much from him and Teddy, but I hope we do soon. I don't know where they're going with this whole "Owen making a case with Shepperd for Teddy to leave" thing, but I hope they don't go too far. Owen and Yang make a good match in my opinion.

"im agreeing with this but what do you mean by the "Owen making a case with Shepherd for Teddy to leave" thing??"
I mean that Christina asked Owen to put a good word with Derek for Teddy to stay instead of that outsider hotshot new cardio surgeon, and instead of convincing Derek that Teddy should stay, Owen told Derek it would be no problem for Teddy to leave because she had plenty of contacts in the east coast or something.

Didn't you watch the ep?! LOL

I think this is a difficult one.... Sloan might not have been ready to be a mother, but perhaps Mark was ready to be a grandfather/dad and take responsibility for "his family." Do you find this valuable?

"i don't watch the full episodes..."
o_O

Sorry, what?!
You don't watch full episodes?! What exactly do you watch then?! Random tidbits only? Do you do zapping between channels on your tv during the episodes or something?

Well, of course grandad Sloan could easily be considered ready to be a father, but the thing is he wasn't the real father. He would have to be an adoptive father who was a biological grandfather at the same time as well, which would always be a little weird to me... Maybe I have some prejudice here, I dunno...

Besides, as Arizona put it well, Little Sloan had already decided to give the baby up for adoption long before he was born, with adoptive parents already chosen and expecting the baby and all. There is apparently a legal right to revert that decision within 24 hours after the birth for understandable reasons, but it would have always been a rushed decision, imho.

what i meant was i watch full episodes but australia is only up to 6X16 so i only watch the parts with Arizona(i am an Arizona freak!) in it because i dont want to spoil myself that much...

you make a good point! i totally agree with what your saying and plus if sloan kept the baby chances are she would have stayed and it wouldve gotten akward and confusing and troublesome....y'know?

I still don't get it, sorry. Maybe it's my bad.
You mean you have watched full episodes up until 6x16 because it's on your TV there, and from then on you have only watched the parts with Arizona parts? Is that it? If so, how do you get, pick or choose the "Arizona parts" then? How is that feasible? Do you download stuff or something?

I don't actually know if there is precedence for family members keeping a child, like in this case (probably not), but I can see a case for this... Do you find this valuable?
