How terrible am I that I did not miss Izzie..... the last few episodes with her gone were peaceful, not whiny and strong. The moment she came back, all she did was whine and complain and it just seemed the whole atmosphere went downhill. :(

Totally agree. I don't get the appeal of Izzie, but I know a lot of people love her. I think she is whiny and self-absorbed. Go away please! I did like the new CardioGoddess that Owen hired for Cristina. I think she has the potential to be a great character. Do you find this valuable? |

Yeah...I wondered what the whole hype was about Izzie and now with George gone, she is just whiny!!! It's been sooo nice without her and the last few episodes... With Derek shining during that day long surgery and last week's episode with Arizona.... last year was far to much about Izzie and a lot of characters took a back seat. I'd like to see more of what they've been doing in Izzie's absence!Oh yeah, Teddy was nice at first but then when she found out who Cristina was (Owen's GF), she began to be teacher....it's nice to see Cristina challenged again. Burke did that well with her and Cristina was almost normal. Since Burke left, she's been floundering and now I see her being challenged and becoming a surgeon again! I'm not sure I like Cristina with Owen though... The 2 best additions to Grey's are Arizona and Teddy! They need to hire Kim Raver on full time!!! Let Izzie go.... Do you find this valuable? |

#1hotchfan -- you and I are watching the same show! I totally agree with everything you said. I've seen on other boards people are complaining that too much time is getting spent on 2nd tier characters, but I like the 2nd tier characters better than the originals! I think nobody but you and I likes Arizona. I like the group scenes. I liked the cafeteria scene last night with the attendings gossiping at one table and the residents at a different table talking about the attendings. This show does group banter well. Do you find this valuable? |

OK, #1hotchfan and KimberlyB, it's nice to know that I have some company; I like Arizona & the 2nd tier characters (even the new ones), and Izzie is really starting to get on my nerves. I find the whining and the drama-queen behavior painfully annoying. As far as I'm concerned, the writers should either have the character grow up, or get rid of her.Do you find this valuable? |

My theory on the Izzie downfall is that Katherine Heigl is going to be on maternity leave much of this season and wants out of her contract anyway, so the writers are making her character insufferable so that fans won't be as upset when she gets written off the show.
