What do you think of this sudden cast change?

I am shocked. This is a great storyline for Callie and Hahn and it is giving us a different look at Grey's. While I've never fully warmed up to Hahn and I do prefer to see Calli with McSteamy, I would rather they explored this storyline further and made Callie realize she didn't want to be with Hahn.

My first thought was that ABC caved to public pressure, but I'm pulling back on that. Hahn was always rough around the edges and it seemed to me that Callie was pressured a little into the relationship- poor writing. "Erica has a good heart." We saw no Callie & Erica interaction to support that, did we? Not that the evidence speaks to the contrary, but it happened so quickly. With the two of them having such a different response last week, the writers would have a lot of work to do to come up with a credible way of dealing with a separation or Callie's feelings changing

I mean i'll admit that i didnt like Erica and Callie together and i never really like Erica but i dont want to see her go...and i really dont think she should go without some kind of explanation....I would have much rather seen Callie with Sloan but i dont think Hahn should be kicked off the show there is still a storyline to play out and i think she is good for the show....she gives us a different perspective and a different vibe to the show....so i am going to miss having her around because even though i dont like her...i still think she is important to the show!!!

I am really sad that they fired Brooke Smith. I really could not see the chemistry between Erica and Callie, but I think that Dr. Hahn was an asset to the show, I really wanted to see how she would deal with teaching Cristina as she was poised too do cardio. I think they could have just ended the relationship and continued with her character.

It really shocks me! I mean, her appearance totally changed the storyline, and she's already leaving!!! I didn't totally like her from the begining, so umm......I feel sorry for her but not for the show. Do you find this valuable? |

I honestly like Hahn so I am a little sad. She might be rough and mostly pessimistic, but she made certian people fight harder in their craft. As far as Erica and Callie together I never cared for the pair. I don't have a problem with having a lesbian couple, I thought it was great, a little more realistic. However Callie had more chemistry with McSteamy. If they wanted to explore a lesbian couple they should have given Hahn some one who didn't have a history with the characters already. A new fresh face, that would actually have Erica finding herself competing with. You know the whole 'I hate you but really I love you' thing. I feel a character like Hahn needs that. Anyway's I will be sad she did bring an interesting interaction with the cast.

I honestly don't care that shes gone, she was only causing problems. It seemed like her character didn't fit in with the others, not even Callie. But thats just y opinion.

I think they ruined the whole character by writing her off so quickly. She got in a little fight with Callie about Izzie and just left and it made her seem like a coward which everyone knows she normally wasn't like that. I'm a little disappointed.
