one question, please answer

I just found out recently that Patrick Dempsey is dyslexic. I know it's kind of an illness that doesn't allow the victim to be able to read. Then I got confused.....how patrick read his scenario?? I thought it must be so difficult for him since there are surely many of confusing medical terms.

Ummm... I actually heard an interview in which he talked about that and he said that he learns every line (that must be pretty hard!) and he says that when they give him all the stuff for him to learn the medical-tem-parts only say MEDICAL so he learns the rest of it and right before the shoot they tell him what he has to say. He must have a pretty good memory, huh!!!

A person with dyslexia has a tendency to transpose letters & numbers. I have a mild case myself but I'm an avid reader. Sometimes I read a sentence & it makes no sense so I go back & read it again to find it was something totally different. I get numbers mixed up too. It seems to have gotten a little worse the older I get. I rarely had trouble in high school but now things get mixed up a couple of times a day. I don't know how severe his case is but people with dyslexia can function normally. They just maybe have to pay more attention to what they're reading. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
