McSteamy a Real Life Father

Well, we've seen plenty of pics. around town lately of Eric Dane with his wife Rebecca Gayhart and her every growing baby bump. But it looks like yesterday, March 4th, the couple finally welcomed their first child together, a daughter. No word yet on the name, but apparently Eric was by his wife's side for the entire delivery and both are extremely happy and excited about the new addition to their family!

Update! The baby's name is Billie Beatrice.

Aaron Karev Cast

We've met Meredith's family, George's brother, Izzie's mom, Callie's dad, and now it's Alex's turn. Yes, you heard right! We are finally going to get some insight into Dr. Karev's (less than perfect) family and maybe even get a glimpse of his past. Grey's has just cast a brother for Alex, Aaron to be played by Jake McLaughlin, who you might know from Crash. Hmmm I wonder what kind of trouble Alex might stir up. Looks like we are going to have to wait until April to find out.

Since we haven't really been seeing all that much of Izzie Stevens lately on the show, we need to get out Katherine Heigl fix another way. Luckily, she seems to be putting out a movie at least once every few months. Check out the trailer of her new movie Killers with Ashton Kutcher due out in June:

Another Patrick Dempsey Sequel

The star-studded new movie Valentine's Day (starring both Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane) hasn't even hit theaters yet, and already Hollywood execs are planning the sequel. "New Year's Eve" is slated to be released at the end of 2011 with Garry Marshall directing and staring a lot of the same characters. Let's hope Valentine's Day is sequel-worthy -- I guess we'll find out later this week.

Some "Enchanted" Sequel

Disney plans to make "Enchanted 2," a sequel to the 2007 hit musical fairytale that starred Amy Adams and "Grey's" own Patrick Dempsey. Variety reports that the two haven't yet been cast for the sequel, but it would be difficult to replicate this chemistry with other actors:

So Mark is pretty frustrated and unhappy with life these days. He is trying not to sleep with everyone in the hospital, like Callie suggested, but it’s hard for him to change his ways. Callie wants him to have a mature, adult relationship. Callie is working on an experiment involving Cartilage and she thinks today will be her breakthrough.

Owen is dealing with a patient who has a giant tumor wrapped around her organs. Richard guilts Owen into giving him the patient by saying he is an old man and this might be his last bug tumor. Christina then talks some sense into Owen, and Owen tries unsuccessfully to get the patient back.

Derek, still Chief, decides they should each present him with a plan, and he will choose. Christina says she wants to work with Richard, but it’s really just to spy on him for Owen.

Ben asks Bailey out on a date and convinces her to say yes.

Jackson and Alex have a patient who seemingly has no heart beat. When they call Teddy for help, they discover that he has had his lung removed and his heart has floated down to about where his kidney is. So the only solution is to put implants in his chest, which the patient fears will give him breasts. He and his girlfriend are fighting about the issue of marriage.

Owen and Richard tell their tumor patient they want to operate and she resists saying that she just wants to live one more month to see her daughter get married. But then she agrees when they tell her she might not live another month without the surgery.

Callie suggests that Mark asks out Teddy in an effort to have a respectable relationship, but he blows it and she turns him down. Then when Teddy tells Arizona, she tells her to go for it. That he is like candy: eat it and forget about it.

Richard knows that Christina is spying for Owen and he offers her some privileges on the surgery if she stops and really spys for Richard. Christina says she needs to think about it.

Callie teases Bailey about going on her 3rd date with Ben and tells her that the 3rd date is the sex date. She gives her the name of a place where she can get a bikini wax and Bailey looks outraged but she accepts the info just the same.

Lexie and Arizona have a little boy with abdominal pain and they can’t figure out what is wrong with him. The parents are fighting about who should have caught it first.

Taking Arizona’s advice to heart, Teddy accepts a date, understanding that it will only be about sex. Mark is surprised she doesn’t want to go to dinner and get to know each other but rather, just wants to grab a drink at Joe’s. When Teddy realizes that he wants a real date, she says no again. Owen overhears this and tells Mark that Teddy isn’t just another of his women and he needs to treat her with respect. Meredith also watches this scene.

Karev is still totally freaked out by Mark. When Mark is nice to him Karev is convinced that he is up to something and won’t even talk to Lexie in the same room as Mark. He is even scared he might try to stab him in surgery. So Lexie is convinced that Mark has it out for Karev because he is still obsessed with her and he just can’t get over her.

Mark helps Teddy with the implant patient and he still thinks that she thinks of him like a piece of meat.

The parents of Lexie and Arizona’s patient learn that it was a ruptured cyst that caused all of their child’s pain. The mother feels extremely guilty after realizing that a bear hug game they were playing caused the cyst to rupture. When the child comes out of surgery ok, the parents are super relieved. Arizona seems affected by this case.

Owen and Meredith realize that Christina is now working for Richard and plan their counter-attack. Richard has a very well thought out plan about how to proceed with the surgery, while Owen’s plan is more to just go in there and see what happens.

Bailey realizes she can’t go get a bikini wax and she confides to Callie that she is worried that she won’t be able to start the whole dating/relationship thing again. But Callie comforts her. Bailey later pages Callie to ask her if she should bring condoms and if so, can Callie get them from the clinic for her?

Owen and Richard get ready to present their case to Derek and they bring Jackson into it because of his connection to Harper Avery (they all think this surgery could put them in a good position for the award). Derek eventually chooses Owen’s plan because it makes more sense to him, and Richard is pissed. But then later when Owen is explaining his plan to the patient, Richard backs him up.

During the surgery, Richard ends up scrubbing in to help when complications arise, and the patient ends up surviving after all. Owen says he couldn’t have done it without Richard. Later, Meredith calls Owen out for being jealous when he heard Mark ask out Teddy and she warns him not to hurt Christina.

Callie finally grows cartilage after experimenting all day and she is celebrating with Arizona when they get to talking about their future. Callie brings up having a house with a yard and kids, etc. and Arizona says she is not interested in having kids. She sees how freaked out the parents get when something happens to their child and she is not interested.

Teddy tells Mark that she will go out with him, but he says that he is taking her to lunch in a crowded restaurant in broad daylight and get to know each other because he wants to build a life with someone and he wants to see if they want the same type of future.

Bailey goes over to Ben’s house and starts lecturing him about how she plays by her own rules and doesn’t conform to society’s expectations, etc. and he interrupts her and tells her to stop lecturing him. He tells her that they should instead have a conversation. It comes out that they both don’t take sex lightly and want to wait. But the do share a smokin’ hot kiss though…

Alex has overheard Mark ask out Teddy and he tells Lexie that Mark is over her. She acts cool with it, but then bursts into sobs in the bathroom with Meredith.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Mercy West transplants Robert Baker (Dr. Percy) and Nora Zehetner (Dr. Adamson) are not expected to return next season. There’s no official word on the fate of fellow “invaders” Jesse Williams (Dr. Avery) and Sarah Drew (Dr. Kepner), but there’s buzz both may stick around long-term. “Grey’s” boss Shonda Rhimes has until June to decide whether to exercise the series regular options in their contracts. (Here’s hoping she does; I like those two.)

Derek-Richard Tensions to Continue on Grey's Anatomy

Looks like the tensions between Derek and Richard on Grey's Anatomy, which have escalated weekly since the Season 6 premiere, aren't going away anytime soon. In next week's Chandra Wilson-directed episode, tensions between the former chief and the current chief continue to boil when a specialized surgery is required. The latter decides Owen is better suited for it than Richard. That doesn't sit well with Dr. Webber, who was basically ousted when Derek revealed his alcohol abuse to the board, and forced to swallow a whole lot of pride. Things had been frosty between them long before that, too. Richard's handling of the merger and his own role as Chief caused major friction between the pair.

Owen's PTSD to Return on Grey's Anatomy

Dr. Owen Hunt's Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) reared its ugly head in frightening fashion last season when he began sleep-choking a stunned Cristina. That wasn't the last we've seen of it. Yesterday, Kevin McKidd alluded to things from Owen's past coming up beyond Teddy that influence our favorite redhead. Could a return of his condition be one of those things? According to Fancast, the upcoming episode "Suicide Is Painless" features his PTSD on full display again. That late March / early April episode, named for the M*A*S*H theme song, is an Iraq War flashback episode, in which McKidd is said to be absolutely amazing.In other news, it looks like fans of Mark and Lexie are in for disappointment if they're expecting a quick reconciliation of their beloved Mexie. It's not happening. Shonda Rhimes Confirms Katherine Heigl’s Return to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

While Grey’s Anatomy fans have been waiting to hear what’s next for the show, creator and head writer Shonda Rhimes took the liberty to give away some juicy spoilers while at the 41st Annual NAACP Awards on Friday, including what’s in store for Katherine Heigl’s character next time around. “She’s written into the next script,” Shonda reveals to reporters of Katherine’s stint on the drama after she had taken a short break to tend to her adopted baby, Nayleigh, with husband Josh Kelley. And knowing that Izzie Stevens, who suffered from an almost lethal bout with cancer this season, is definitely returning, the fate of the Chief of Seattle Grace Hospital is another story.
“Well, I love James Pickens and I think we’re going to get to see a lot more of him and what happens to his character and explore what happens to a doctor when they go to rehab and come out the other side,” Shonda explains of Grey’s Anatomy character Richard. But any show needs a bit of change to keep running and Shonda agrees that Jesse Williams, the new kid on the block, is perfect for the job. “We developed his character a little more and illuminate who he is a little more to give more time to him…I think it was nice to bring in people that the audience would hate and our characters would have to rise against,” Shonda reveals after the awards ceremony in L.A.Submitted by: Katia2525

Grey’s Anatomy Spoilers: Seattle Grace shake-up!

Since the Chief has stepped down from his throne, everyone at Seattle Grace is concerned about what that means for them. Plus, I don’t know about you guys but I’ve got one question: is theChief gone forever? On whether the Chief will be gone forever and if so, will Derek be chief? Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief: the Chief will not be gone for long and Derek is only the interim chief. On how the doctors feel about Derek becoming interim chief… Jessica Capshaw, who plays Arizona Robbins, says that there will be a “ripple effect” throughout Seattle Grace and it will be challenge that the doctors will have to work through seeing their usually “stoic and smart and definitely experienced”chief fall. The doctors will be divided into two groups: one that roots for Derek and the other that questions his loyalty to the chief. One doctor we can count on being on Derek’s side is Owen. He feels that it was the right choice because it “benefits the most amount of people.” On whether Meredith will be greatly favored because she’s married to the chief interim… Justin Chambers, who plays Alex Karev, says definitely not and even points out that Meredith is smart enough to shine without taking advantage of her relationship with thechief interim. Chambers also says that his character will probably “throw out a few words that aren’t necessarily polite about her sleeping with the Chief.” On how the former chief will be getting his life together… Capshaw didn’t seem to have any details on what the Richard Webber will be doing in the time being… hopefully some spoilers about this will come out soon!

Exclusive: 'Grey's Anatomy' recasts Richard and Ellis!

Granted, I’m using the word recastGrey’s Anatomy has tapped Angel’s J. August Richards and Cupid’s Sarah Paulso loosely here, but n to play younger, circa ‘82 versions of Richard and Ellis in the Feb. 18 episode. The flashback-heavy hour, appropriately titled “Time Warp,” will shed light on the beginnings of the affair between the Chief and Mer’s mom. In separate sequences, we’ll see Bailey in her pre-”Nazi” days, and Callie shortly before she was introduced on the show. But back to Richards and Paulson, their resemblance to James Pickens Jr. and Kate Burton is pretty uncanny, no? Paulson and Burton, in particular, look like they were cut from the same family tree.

ADAM: After Alex hooked up with Lexie last week, all bets are off. But it seems his on-and-off thing with pediatrics might be back on again, thanks to a nudge from Arizona. "I finally bring Alex back in the fold," Jessica Capshaw tells us, adding that Arizona makes it her mission to prove working with kids isn't all fluff. "Anyone can operate on brains, but try and operate on baby brains," she says. "Arizona ends up advocating for Alex to find his way in peds and see if he can hack it. He has a very hardcore experience."

First thing in the morning, Derek and then Meredith walk in on a very naked Lexie in Alex’s bed. Derek leaves immediately, but Meredith stays to give Lexie the lecture about not getting involved with someone like Alex but Lexie assures her that she is only in it for the sex. But, of course, Meredith doesn’t believe her.

Christina and Teddy are becoming friends in addition to being close co-workers. Christina urges Owen to be friends with her as well.

Just then a motorcycle accident victim gets moved from the ambulance into the hospital, and the EMT wheeling the patient slips on some water and falls. Christina then gets stuck answering legal questions.

Arizona confronts Teddy about staring at Owen and invites her out to girl’s night, which she reluctantly accepts. Shortly after Arizona yells at Alex for having slept with Callie.

Derek (after walking in on Mark screwing a drug rep) tells Mark that he is no longer allowed to sleep with drug reps in the hospital. Apparently Mark is acting out because he is sad about Sloan having left him.

Jackson brings in a patient, his grandfather, also a doctor, a very important doctor, Harper Avery. And Christina without knowing who he was, tries to steal the patient from Jackson and misdiagnoses him. Then, Harper doesn’t want Meredith, Derek or Bailey to work on him, but he does specifically request Dr. Webber. When Derek suggests that Dr. Bailey operate on him, he says he will only accept Dr. Webber, and he wants to be awake during the surgery to watch it. Derek says no, of course, but Richard agrees.

Meredith and Jackson scrub in on the surgery, and of course the rest of the gang is envious. They bond over both having famous surgeon relatives.

In another ER, Callie is treating an elderly deaf woman and her daughter that scream to communicate, annoying everyone in the hospital. During her scan to check for injuries caused by a car accident, Mark realizes that he can do a simple procedure to fix her hearing.

Teddy, Arizona and Lexie are working on a cancer survivor that needs a lung transplant but is a very high-risk patient. Christina and Lexie want to try an experimental procedure involving the reparation of discarded donor lungs. Later, on of Christina’s patients dies, and she “steals” his lungs to use on the procedure, with Lexie as an accomplice. Teddy freaks out when she finds out what Christina has done, but things change when she realizes that the once damaged lungs are actually viable.

Mark walks into the room and immediately yells at Alex to get out, essentially kicking him off the case. Later, Mark proceeds to kick Alex out of an OR and Callie tries to give him a pep talk about cleaning up his act.

Owen invites Teddy to have dinner with him and Christina in an effort for all of them to try and be friends.

Jackson confides in Meredith about how annoying it is to be related to a medical legend like his grandpa. Harper Avery pages Jackson to try to convince him again to go practice at the best hospital in the country and work for him. Jackson doesn’t want to, but Harper is insisting. Just then, Harper looses consciousness.

Harper Avery has some complications and he needs another surgery. This time, Derek refuses to let him be awake during the surgery, and he makes Jackson wait outside since he is family. Richard thinks it might have been his mistake and tells Derek to have Bailey do the surgery, that he just wants to drink. But Derek insists that he do it. It turns out that Harper had been allergic to the sutures that he himself had requested Richard use. So they were easily switched out and all was well.

In the middle of reattaching the repaired lungs, Teddy encounters some trouble and wants to quit. But Christina talks her into solving the problem and the surgery goes smoothly.

In yet another bonding moment, Meredith tells Jackson that if her mom were around, she would want to learn from her. So Jackson takes a group of his friends (Lexie, Christina, etc.) to go meet his grandfather. It looks like they just might make peace after all.

Alex accuses Lexie of telling Mark that they were dating in order to make him jealous but Lexie denies it. She says that she isn’t dating Alex, she is just in it for the sex. Alex seems cool with that.

Mark tries to apologize to Alex for yelling at him and kicking him off cases when he sees that he is coming out of a call room with Lexie. Mark ends up seducing and sleeping with the daughter of the patient whose hearing he restored.

Owen compliments Teddy on the successful experimental lung surgery and he invites her to grab a drink but she says she has plans: girl’s night.

Harper Avery encourages Richard to pursue his research and Richard seems interested in the idea.

New Interim Chief Derek Shepherd has reinstituted Lecture Day at Seattle Grace! Up on the schedule are Bailey, a terrified-of-public-speaking Callie, and last minute addition Richard Webber. Apparently Richard thought that if he went to AA meetings (which he is doing) he would be reinstated as Chief, but Derek tells him that is subject to Board Approval, and the Board did not approve. Derek offers him a position under him as just plain ole’ surgeon, and he says no. But he does agree to give one final lecture.

The first speaker up is Bailey, who talks about when she was an intern in 2003. ”Mandy” has long braids in her hair and thick purple glasses and is painfully quiet and respectful, even though she knows what she was talking about. Her, the Chief and her Resident Dr. Balo are all working on a patient with abdominal pain who has been in and out of the hospital and no one can find what is wrong with her. It is clear that Mandy is the only one who has actually gotten to know the patient: she knows that she is vegan and probably doesn’t have a problem of high cholesterol.

She makes a quick enemy of her Resident because she seems to be a know it all, and she can’t stand up for herself. When Mandy diagnoses appendicitis, the Chief lets her operate. He tells her she is acting like a minnow, but in the hospital you have to be a shark. So it turns out there was no actual problem with the appendix, and they send the patient away with a diagnosis of depression. Mandy fights for more tests, but they all turn out negative.

When the patient comes back into the hospital months later and the doctors want to open her up again since they still don’t know what is wrong, Miranda snaps. She cancels her Resident’s surgery (a big no-no) and proceeds to put her in her place. She comes up with the diagnosis, one that the Resident doctor would have come up with, if she had listened more closely to the patient’s complaints. The Chief catches her yelling at her superior and takes her into his office and pretends to yell at her.

Morals of the story: Patient histories are important, sometimes the doctor has to be the patient’s advocate, and stand up for yourself.

Next up at the lecture series is Callie, who is a terrible public speaker, by the way. She mumbles through a story, with help from Karev and Arizona. Callie is in her 3rd year as a resident when she meets Alex Karev, who leads her to believe that he is that “famous” intern who saved the heart in the elevator. Well, big surprise, they start out hitting on each other. Ok, so Callie somehow ends up promising a patient with Clubfoot that he will walk again. The Chief did not like her arrogance and basically said that if she failed she would be fired.

Midway through his first surgery, he started to become unstable and they had to close him up. But after they surgery they realized that he was able to move his feet a little bit and he wants her to try again. She is doubting herself because of what the Chief had told her, but Alex gives her a pep talk. So she tries again, but this time he has heart complications during surgery. She needs Alex to basically do what he did in the elevator, but he has to admit that is was George. So eventually, they decide to fix him with a series of shorter surgeries and eventually they accomplish the impossible and he walks again. Callie and Alex celebrate by hooking up. Moral of the story: If you are scared of public speaking, throw away the notes and just tell your story…and if you need help from a friend who was also there, that works too.

And last but not least, we have the Chief who tells everyone about when he was a Resident in 1982, working along side Ellis Grey. Although they were both gifted surgeons, they were both discriminated against in a sexist and racist 1980s medical field. They were in a secret relationship at this point, hooking up in the On Call rooms and hiding it from their families and co-workers.

Their patient has GRID (1982 term for AIDS) which stands for Gay Related Immune Deficiency. When they explain this to their patient, he is super offended and leaves the hospital. He comes back in a few months with Kaposi’s Sarcoma, wounds on his face that are only caused by AIDS.

Meredith’s dad brings her into the hospital to visit her mom and Ellis pretty much ignores her. Later, when Richard says that their affair is wrong, Ellis says that their marriages are wrong, they are what’s right. She also makes it clear that her collegues treat her differently because she is a woman and a mother, and she is clearly not happy about it.

At this point in history, no one knows anything about AIDS, so no one wants to operate on a problem that the patient is having, except Ellis and Richard. They know it could be dangerous and that it won’t save his life, but they want to do it anyway. They do complete the surgery successfully, but of course the patient eventually dies.

Ellis tells Richard he wants her to leave his wife, but he says that he won’t. She also encourages him to drink.

Richard then finishes his speech with a recitation of his Physician’s Oath, and gets a standing ovation.

Moral of the story: The doctors around you are the biggest influences in your life, you can learn from them and teach them. Also, remember your oath, cause things can get messy and it’s easy to lose your way.

Derek offers the Chief the surgeon job again, and he says he’ll think about it.

So on this lovely Valentine’s Day, Owen and Derek have convinced a reluctant Meredith and Christina to go with them on a romantic date to celebrate the holiday. The girls luck out when on their way they spot a ton of ambulances headed toward the hospital and finally get paged back to the ER.

Back at the hospital, all scheduled procedures have been pushed to make way for the crowd coming in. Luckily, Arizona and Callie had dinner earlier and exchanged gifts. Dr. Warren –The Gas Man -- tries to invite Bailey out for a date, but she says no, that she is busy most nights with surgery. Then despite Callie and Arizona teasing her about liking him, she doesn’t change her answer.

Mark asks Callie to help him set up the crib as Sloan is coming home tonight and he wants to have it ready for her. Then he promptly leaves Callie to go hit on a new blond he sees who turns out to be…Lexie, who just dyed her hair. Lexie freaks out when she realizes that Mark didn’t recognize her and was trying to hit on her.

The cause for all the chaos at Seattle Grace is that a roof collapsed on a local restaurant and reporters are waiting outside for a statement. Several doctors come to Derek asking him for his Chief-like approval, but he just wants to go work on patients. Finally he puts on his jacket and heads outside to talk to them.

Alex is working on a waiter with a broken leg, who slips him a fifty to get put in a bed next to a women across the room. When he makes that happen, the man explains that he just thought the woman, who has been coming into his restaurant ever Friday for years, might want a familiar face just until she found out if her husband would be ok. Meredith and Alex then make a bet to see if his patient is going to hit on her patient. Later, that patient reveals to them that he is in love with her, and that he feels like her and her husband have been growing apart and are unhappy.

And guess who is back?! Dr. April (from Mercy West, who got fired in the chaos of the former Chief after accidentally killing a patient.) Well, apparently she was one that Derek rehired and she is acting as his secretary. She starts asking Meredith questions about this important breakfast meeting tomorrow and she can’t believe it when Mer says she might not be going. Apparently Meredith is not yet settled into the role of “Chief’s wife”. Later she comes up to them again and says that since Mer might not make it home before the event, she’ll go into her closet and pick something out for her to wear and then drop it back off. Clearly, Meredith is not having any of it.

Callie runs into Sloan at the hospital and agrees to give her an ultrasound when she realizes that the free clinic is closed. The baby looks fine and Sloan asks Callie for that information in writing, which she then confesses if for the adoption attorney. No she hasn’t told Mark and Callie isn’t allowed to either. When they run into Mark on their way out, he is really excited to see the ultrasound print out and keeps talking about how the child has the “Sloan nose.”

Lexie and Avery are working on a dishwasher who lost his arm when the roof collapsed. They are working on saving the arm when they get to talking about Mark and her new hair-do etc. Avery tells her that if she wants to change and be less mousy, she is going to have to change more than her hair – she is going to have to really change. Later they are told that even though the arm is viable, the stump is too damaged so the patient will lose his arm. But Avery pushes Lexie to tell Mark and Owen that there is a (rare) procedure they can do that will save his arm, and they finally agree.

Arizona arranges it so that Dr. Warren is working on the same surgery as Miranda. And proceeds to play Cupid all throughout the surgery, complimenting them both, talking about romantic date places. Etc. Eventually Bailey kicks Arizona out of the surgery room and just then, her surgery gets complicated.

So Callie corners Sloan into telling Mark about the adoption. And out of the blue, Mark decides he wants to keep the baby. And when Sloan says she wants him to have a whole family, Callie chimes in that she will help. Sloan says she’ll think about it.

Meredith tells Derek that she can’t make it to the breakfast because she is going into surgery and Derek agrees that she shouldn’t go.

Teddy and Owen run into each other and Teddy starts telling him about everything that’s going on in her life: her new house, her pet fish, her bikini wax, etc. She tells him that he used to be her best friend and she can’t understand why he won’t even look at her anymore. He tells her that when he talks to her he feels like he is cheating on Christina.

Mark gushes to Derek that he is going to be a father. He is very excited about the idea.

So Lexie and Avery’s patient wakes up to find a stump where his arm should be and is clearly upset…not as upset, however, as when they show him that his arm is being kept alive for a few days until the stump heals and they can reattach it. The way they’re keeping the arm alive? By attaching it to his leg! He freaks out and tells them they should have left him without an arm. He doesn’t want to be a freak.

Callie goes home to find Sloan sneaking out with all of her luggage. She says if she gives the baby to them it will still be her baby and she wants a clean slate (like the one her father got with her). Callie gives her a wad of money telling her to take her vitamins and not miss doctors appointments. And Sloan leaves.

When Meredith’s patient comes to, Mer informs her that her husband had some complications in surgery but they are working on him, and that the waiter had to be rushed to surgery and they are working on him too. The patient tells Meredith that she used to go to the restaurant because she knew the waiter had a crush on her, but then she met Bob, her husband and she loves him. And she keeps going back because he loves that restaurant, and marriage isn’t all that terrible after 15 years. In the end, her husband lives and when the woman finds out that the waiter is dead, she cries.

Dr. April tells Derek that she is really upset over having killed a patient and she doesn’t know if she should go back into surgery. He then brings her into surgery with him, and when the patient doesn’t make it, he gives her a pep talk.

Bailey admits to Dr. Warren that she likes him and will go on a date with him,.

Lexie’s patient is happy when he realizes that since he is “special” his case has attracted press and with it, a lawyer that thinks the restaurant owes him a lot of money.

Lexie and Alex commiserate over their hatred of Valentine’s Day and inevitably make out.

Teddy tells Owen and Christina that she wants to be friends again and she wants him to forget what he said about loving him, etc. They both know you can’t “unring” the bell, but they are going to try.

In the end, Meredith gives her surgery to Christina to go and support Derek at the Brunch, but when she sees that they they have written “Mrs. Derek Shepherd” she is not pleased. Although, it looks like they will both adjust to their new roles after all.
