We find out that Miranda has been married for 10 years to her college sweetheart. And the day she was due to hand in her fellowship papers, the stick turned blue.
On his way to the hospital to help Miranda in the birthing of their son, Tucker was involved in a car accident. He need emergent surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain.
In the meantime Miranda is in labor and refuses to push, she wants to go home and come back later, which will be too late for the both of the them (mother and baby)

Season 3

Season 4

Miranda now Chief Resident she is rushing to work.
Little Tucker gets into her library and one of her bookcases fulls on him, Tuck rushes little Tucker to the ER
Tucker and Bailey separate when he gives her an ultimatum.
