Alex - on/off relationship - married in season 5.
Denny - fell in love with heart transplant patient. She wanted him to live so she cut one of the wire's to his heart monitor, forcing an emergency surgery. After surgery, Denny had a new lease on life and proposed to Izzy. Denny suffered a stroke (a clot formed from a complication of his transplant surgery) while alone and died leaving Izzy to mourn her one true love.
In Season 4, she told long time roommate and best friend George that she loves him, even though George was married to Callie. They ended up getting together but realized it wasn't working out. They remain best friends.

Stands up for herself when being mocked for her modeling career. Opens a heart patients wound bedside to remove his blood clot Calls Alex a hateful little man
Season 2
She has a daughter that she gave up for adoption when she was 16. Falls in love with Denny Deuquette, a Congestive Heart Failure patient She cuts Denny's LVAD wire in a frantic attempt to save him and get him a heart transplant. Becomes engaged to Denny Completely falls apart when Denny dies.
Season 3
She was sitting on a check for $8.7 million. She spent the money on a free clinic, as well as paying for the "bent over girl"'s surgery. She bakes nonstop. She proves herself capable of being "back in the game" when at the ferryboat accident, she drills into a man's head and saves his life. Sleeps with her best friend, George O'Malley.
Season 4
On her first day of residency, she gets labeled the "dud" by her interns for saving "Bambi" Almost gets in a fist fight with Callie after a suggestive meeting time and place. Breaks up with George, but remains his best friend.
Season 5
Izzie is diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma with five percent chances of survival. Izzie and Alex get married on Meredith and Derek's Wedding Day. Izzie possibly died in the finale, but on the season 6 premiere she survives.

Season 6
Moves out to Derek's trailer out in the woods with Alex Sees a bear after not believing Alex when he saw one Izzie jumps back into work, after the merger with Mercy West Izzie gets fired Izzie dumps Alex because he told the chief that she wasn't focused enough causing her being fired! Izzie survives! She brings one of her High School teacher's Mr Singer, to Seattle Grace for treatment She sends Alex divorce papers
