  • Denny - fell in love with heart transplant patient. She wanted him to live so she cut one of the wire's to his heart monitor, forcing an emergency surgery. After surgery, Denny had a new lease on life and proposed to Izzy. Denny suffered a stroke (a clot formed from a complication of his transplant surgery) while alone and died leaving Izzy to mourn her one true love.
  • In Season 4, she told long time roommate and best friend George that she loves him, even though George was married to Callie. They ended up getting together but realized it wasn't working out. They remain best friends.

Man, I really hope she makes it... She is the only cheerful person on the show... IZZIE WE LOVE YOU! PLEASE DON'T DIE! Wikipedia says that she is supposed to die while Shepherd operates. I just hope Shonda changes her mind about that...
