She starts to do surgery next to him, eventually conducting complicated surgeries for him so as not to let his secret out (that his hand shakes). The stress of this monumental lie and cover-up is finally too much for their relationship to withstand, and she comes clean--the same day that Dr. Burke is asked to be the next Chief of Surgery. Obviously, Cristina's admission put a wrench in that plan, so the race for chief is opened to a wider search. |
